At the conclusion of this session, learners will be able to:
•    Identify different types of wounds and underlying pathology
•    Identify the importance of wound assessment and identify reasons for poor healing
•    Demonstrate debridement, offloading, and compression techniques

Michael Ascuitto, MD's Profile

Michael Ascuitto, MD Related Seminars and Products


Michael Ascuitto, MD, grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Rhodes College where he  majored in Chemistry and Physics, and competed on the cross country and track teams. He then came back home and attended Louisiana State University medical school. He specialized in Family Medicine at Baton Rouge General Hospital, and then Fellowship in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine at LSU, completing his medical training in 2023. 

Dr. Asciutto has been happily married to his high school sweetheart Madi since 2019. They love their Great Pyrenees, Dolce and Aspen, who are affectionately known as the Snow Beasts, and their two cats, Bixby and Barley. They enjoy outdoor activities and have been working towards visiting all the National Parks.
